New World Order

link>

Waves of change. Waves, in their enormity, threaten to uproot even the deepest rooted trees near the shore. Waves, spare no one, not even fish, some of who ride them, and die when the wave lands at the shore.
So what’s the best thing to do?
That’s not the best question to ask, because, just like the sea, a big wave means different things to different animals. To a whale, wandering aimlessly near the coast might mean that he gets dragged towards the shore, where its internal organs will get crushed under its own weight, the whale, cannot stand a chance on land, even though he breathes from the air, not the water. Clearly, false impressions are not uncommon.
The powerful movement of the water causes a significant effect on the winds near the water, this means that even the birds suffer, they might get dragged into the water, and drowning is the next stage.
This is not the final straw yet, because the winds, combined with the water from the waves strike the land and nearby objects with an insurmountable force, huge walls, plants, buildings, even the rocks that sat aimlessly at a nearby cliff might have to move. The point here is, it’s almost impossible to survive a wave, unmoved.
Similar to this, is the rare wave that shapes human societies from generations back, into this new age, because, as we all know, societies were not shaped by those who followed the rules, but by those who broke them. Those who chose to go against the grain. The round pegs in a world full of square holes.
Society faces a significant paradigm shift when these round pegs show up. All of a sudden, we are forced to question facts we held with the strongest conviction.
Fear plays a pivotal role in this, because many of those who get swept by this wave might do so because of their fear of losing to the round peg. They might also follow the wave because the tree they were previously perched on might get destroyed by the wave, or that they may have nothing left in the aftermath, hence, the round peg might offer new opportunities to those deemed to be allies.
Those who suffer most are those who think nothing will change, those who underestimate the power of the wave because, even if the wave doesn't destroy everything, it will leave an ugly scar in its wake.
Society changes, and a few examples of this are the French revolution, the rally for independence after world war II, the beginning of Protestantism, the fall of communism, the rise of democracy, just to name a few.
Notice that there was always the few who underestimated the power of the wave, and who ultimately paid a high price for it. The new revolution is here with us, and i fear that the lessons from the past haven't sunk in yet.
There are those who bask in their ignorance, those who chose to believe that every new revolution will be forgotten. It’s a common step in problem solving for men. Simply forget about it, and if it persists, then it’s worth your time. This saves a lot of time. Time spent worrying, time spent cowering in fear, time spent in adventures of our imagination, how bad it could really be.
